PES – In Game Ads

So I’m not posting one of my many great goals or that PES has won a 2010 Bafta. I just wanted to post a screen grab of one of the in game ads. Technology wise in game ads are nothing new, but I’ve never come across one that is subtle and effective.
P.S. Babel did score from that shot and he’s currently on 28 goals for the season and the real make believe is that Liverpool are top of the league.
PS3 Move

Today at GDC Sony unveiled a motion controller for the PlayStation 3 that is set to challenge the Nintendo Wii and Microsoft’s Natal. The controller works with the PlayStation Eye to track body movements and works in combination with a light emitting orb that is picked up by the camera.
Has Sony moved into the space too late.
Super Street Fighter 4 – Cody, Adon, Guy, Bonus Stages
The bonus stage has lost its shine if you ask me.
Negative PES 2010 reviews
Today has been a day of constant debating with @coderkind over Fifa bias reviews of PES 2010.
The review on Yahoo was summed up by my ex PES nemisis @clickeymickey.
“What complete and utter drivel! so let me get this right, Fifa have been nothing over the last decade but an annoying little pest that is constantly trying to better PES, a PURE football simulation game by offering official squads and grounds.
How many of us sit down on a weekend to watch our beloved teams play each other and see “keepers spilling balls” at the highest level, and the ball sticking to Torres’ foot like “grease” and big for someone to try and stop him!! what utter nonsense is this dude speaking, that is exactly why everyone will play the game to death trying to attract the worlds most prolific striker to their squad, often with little success.
SO what I’m to interpret is that this is PES of old (unlike that Fifa like shamble they put out last year) but with the improvements of Champions League DAMMMNNNNNN and an even better Master League, hold my c0ck I’m about to cum!!
“The modern game has changed” what in the last 5 years, has it? where the hell have I been, pretty sure I watch more footy then the average bloke and I haven’t seen much change in the last few years.
Is this guy on commission from Fifa?!? This is the most biased article I’ve EVER read. and yet for all of the ridicule, PES is still marked 4/5 wtf!!! I’m bemused to say the least!
PES never has and never will require gimmicks its just pure gaming entertainment….
Final words, notice that PES NEVER comes out and slags off Fifa, its like the Scots dissing the English or Mac commercials slating PC – PES, like the English and PC’s don’t care because all the other so call contenders have always been and will always be in their BIG brothers wake regardless of how hard they try.”
Modern Warfare 2 “Infamy” – (Trailer)
Looks good. I wonder if I’m going to shell out for the night vision goggles.
PS3 Slim – Sony Misses Again?
Just checked my calendar and I can’t believe it’s already September, where have all the months gone! With pinch punch & first of the month dodging on my mind, I’m reminded of the release of the PS3 Slim. The console we all knew would see the light of day as soon as we caught eyes on the breeze block.
What can we expect; pretty much what the name suggests. Figures touted include 33 percent smaller, 36 percent lighter and 34 percent less power consumption. Looking at the new system I think we can draw the same conclusion without the figures.

I’ll most probably switch to the slim to free up some cabinet space and make the journey into work a lot easier when we are having a Street Fighter 4 session.
Sony did well with their bet on Blu-ray but I’m not too sure the format has long to live especially with content moving online. The thing that has caught my attention is the lack of innovation. I’m not talking on a hardware front, I just think all the time spent on shrinking the PS3 could have been spent on coming up with something similar to Microsoft’s Project Natel or giving users the basics like in-game chat.
If Sony are counting on Slim to bring balance to force then they are in for a big shock. With Microsoft dropping the price of the Xbox Elite to £200 and project Natal on the horizon, the darkside is well placed for victory.
