How I See It

Silverlight vs Flash (Shine)

without comments

Terence Tsang has put together a site comparing Flash and Silverlight by posting various samples and source codes (Shine = Flash + Silverlight).

I felt the comparisons are sometimes not controlled. For example, the images and sizes used in the Flash vs Silverlight: Kit3D vs Papervision3D Example are different.

The voting also seems to be swinging to Silverlight, but I guess that is because you have more SilverLight developers going to the site.

I hope Shine gets round to doing a textfield example; Try loading an image into a textfield with Silverlight. Better yet, right click on a textfield and try and copy some text.

Anyway, the site is definately worth checking out, even if it’s just to get a better idea on what is possible with SilverLight.
